In Wyoming, the attendance at a divorcee hearing varies county by county. If a court hearing is required, the plaintiff files the Request for Setting and Order Setting Divorce Trial with the clerk of the court. Upon receipt of the hearing time and date, both parties attend the divorce hearing. If the county requires the attendance of both spouses at the hearing, and one spouse is unable to attend, there is usually a procedure for requesting that the out-of-state spouse appear by telephone or by some other means. If a court hearing is not required, the plaintiff files the Affidavit for Divorce Without Appearance of Parties instead of the Request for Setting and Order Setting Divorce Trial. Both parties receive a copy of the finalized Decree of Divorce once the judge has signed it. Learn more about attending a Wyoming divorce hearing.
