When you’re filing for divorce in Washington, you may choose to file in the county where you live or where your spouse lives. (Wash. Rev. Code §§ 4.12.025, 26.09.010(2) (2022).)
If you’re filing in Pierce County and are handling the divorce yourself (without a lawyer representing you), you may file your papers in person.
